NO SCHOOL: Friday, 8/21 (Statehood Day)
About PLO / RTI
PLOs take place 3 days a week (Tues - Thurs) for 34-40 minutes each day.
During this time ALL students receive specific and targeted support in areas of growth, whether it be through Intervention or Enrichment.
Response to Intervention (RTI): direct, small-group instruction to improve a student's skills in specific content areas.
Enrichment: Opportunities for students to extend their learning in various subejct areas & topcis.
Tutoring
In-Person Tutoring Services at KHS
Before school (7:15a - 7:45a): Every Morning
After school (2:20p - 3:20p): Mon & Tues
After school tutoring requires a permission form:
Friday Goal Setting
Every Friday (for 40 min), students will meet with their Homeroom (Advisory) teachers
to practice goal-setting and self-monitoring.
Purpose:

To instruct students in the process of setting overarching, long-term goals as well as small, achievable goals.

Set multiple long & short term goals
Self-monitor goals & grades throughout the year
Conference one-on-one with teacher
Inform parents/guardians of progress (through phone calls, etc.)
